Street festival season in Hamburg usually opens with the festival in the Osterstraße. Plenty of things to eat, music to enjoy and places to shop.

The annual street festival in Hamburg’s Eppendorf quarter is one of the biggest in this city. There are some stages for live shows (no big acts, generally some local musicians backed by a radio station) and lots of food stands.

Local street festivals are usually not included in travel guides. This is the street festival Mühlenkamp in Winterhude. Winterhude is in the central part of Hamburg, sandwiched between the Alster lake and the Stadtpark (City Park).
